Artwork by students at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA)
in Mountain View, CA was developed into an interactive artwork displayed
at MONTAGE '93 International Festival of the Image, in Rochester, NY, July
11-August 7 1993.
The display "Fears" was created by Ranjit Bhatnagar and Rebecca
Mercuri of the University of Pennsylvania, and Mike Mosher of CSMA.

Drawings by Mike's CSMA students in the Summer 1992 Teenage Comics class
were processed into 3D images, using Macintosh software developed by Ranjit
and Rebecca. Appropriate holophonic sound recordings, further giving the
illusion of three dimensions, were then added.

CSMA students who contributed to "Fears" include Stephanie
Chen, Ivan Evans, Dan Raim and Alisa Shyr.
"Fears" was first displayed at the "Cyberspace in Music Therapy"
exhibit in the Cutting Edge Gallery of the Mandell Futures Center, Franklin
Institute Science Museum, Philadelphia PA in November and December, 1992.
Mike also exhibited the kiosk "Collaborationation"
there.

Sponsors of MONTAGE '93 include the City of Rochester and the Eastman
Kodak Company. The Festival includes a computer Art & Technology Exposition,
an International Film and Video Festival, workshops, trade shows and conferences.
